Signature Dish

When steak is offered at a restaurant, more often than not, a choice between affordability and taste has to be made. For those restaurants which offer both, thank you for existing!

You might get a hint from the name of the restaurant that it started out in the ice cream business but the main reason why we visit the Mad Mark’s restaurant is because of their Signature Steak.

The Signature Steak is a 150g USDA Flat Iron Steak which is served with a choice of 2 side dishes. The following are the side dishes they offer: Bacon Potato Salad, Plain Rice, Garden Grains, Corn & Carrot, House Salad and Smashed Potato (no I did not misspell that. That is actually what they call it!)

Our favorite side dish is the Smashed Potato. There is something about the way it is spelled which makes the side dish more enticing. Kidding aside, the Smashed Potato goes well with the steak.

You can choose from these homemade sauces: Bootstrap Steak Sauce, Ragin' Cajun, Cream Mushroom Sauce, Johnnie Double Black and Roasted Nut Sauce. If you like it sweet, we recommend our personal favorite, the Bootstrap Steak Sauce. If you like it spicy, the Ragin' Cajun, comes in as a close second. Both of these sauces complement the Signature Steak.

You get these for only P245!

Who Wants Some Ice Cream?

Don't be discouraged when you see on the menu that a single scoop costs P95. It is served with 2 decent-sized scoops of ice cream and you can choose 2 different flavors.

The sweetness is not overpowering so you can enjoy the flavorful taste with every nibble. Free taste is available to see which flavors you would like best.

Here are the flavors you can choose from.

Customer Service

Another factor which keeps us coming back to this place is their great customer service. Upon arriving, the staff always welcomes us with a smile and makes sure to thank us before we leave. They are prompt in addressing our requests and most importantly, the wait time for our food to be served is reasonable.

During one of our visits, one of the attendants was at my left and in a split second, he was at my right pouring me another drink. I was about to joke, “Did you just teleport?” But I was too busy laughing at myself for getting startled. Generally speaking, the staff are very attentive.
